Wooden workshop

LEM is a laboratory that combines design, fabrication, and research related to wood as a material. Our mission is to merge theoretical knowledge with creative and technical practice, using wood as the central axis in architectural and design projects, based in Mexico City.

At LEM, we specialize in designing, developing, prototyping, and producing wood projects. We use tools such as a table saw, planer, jointer, and hand tools to thoroughly explore the properties of wood. Through techniques such as laminating and bending, we push the structural limits of wood, taking advantage of its thermal and hygroscopic properties.
