The construction of the library for the local school in the Abetenim settlement was carried out manually and it was built with local eco-friendly materials, such as earth and wood. The project was implemented in 2017 using water-saving construction, often repurposed local materials, and precious local knowledge of building.
I spent a month on the construction site and participated in the daily work, more precisely in the installation of walls made of rammed earth, the assembly of windows and wooden bookcases. The rammed Earth construction method employs a mixture of earth and cement with a high-pressure application technique.
